TIME AND MONEY, DON’T THROW THEM AWAY!

TIME & MONEY, their relationship continues….DON’T THROW THEM AWAY!

It can be exhausting to hear people discuss money.  The lying is epic! No one wants to admit that they are bad with money! No one wants to say, I had it but mismanaged it.  Instead they justify, lie, make excuses and pretend that EVERYTHING that they did HAD TO BE DONE!  Anytime, someone says that, it is a defensive mood of justification. Very little has to be done in terms of expenditures.  In this day and time, I don’t know if we as a people have a sense of what really is basic necessities vs luxuries and notice I said, we, including myself.

The thing about having or a person who has had money and then they do not have any longer is: 1) the way that they received the money was wrong or illegal or 2) their ability to manage money is immature.  People whose business generates cash regularly tend to have surges of income followed by longer surges of lack and limitations.  They become a slave to the quick fix of cash which often leads to bad decisions and lingering consequences. Quick cash isn’t valued, managed or used inappropriately. It is always going to be used quickly, diminished and the need to get it again manifest.

There is sooo much to be said for a person who works for his or her money because the hope and idea is that he or she will appreciate it more and disburse it carefully.

There is also the concept of what constitutes ‘having money’.  That is so funny to me because people that talk about the money they have really don’t have what I consider ‘having money’.  If you can count it, if you can spend it quickly with nothing but disposal goods to show for it (shopping sprees that end, shopping sprees that are shallow); if you can spend it and have to go MAKE IT AGAIN, then you do not HAVE MONEY in my book!  That synopsis is based on my exposure to money and to people who have it. That in no way means that my definition is the only definition or that it is right. It provides a picture of my concept concerning rich or wealthy.  The people that I tend to hear discuss money or brag about it (money); are people that usually do not own anything!  They are paying bills month-to-month, chasing the dollar and while they may have the ability to make thousands at one time, they lack the knowledge, discipline or fortitude to reverse the situation and allow their money to make money! Making money is GREAT! I will never put down a person who works for his or her money!  However, those independent entrepreneurs who place their life on the line and have nothing to show for it aren’t really entrepreneurs; they are dispensable errand boys at best. Their income is based on risk and to increase their money, the risk must be greater!  Wealthy people aren’t gamblers!  They are strategic thinking and planning people that play chess instead of checkers! They invest, watch over their investment, wait for growth, cultivate the investment and move forward and horizontal in a similar fashion.  Their money or streams of income do not flow in from one direction; they actually maintain a portfolio of streams so that they never have to start from scratch again!

There are only 24 hours in a day and if your wealth is determined strictly on what you can do in those 24 hours, then even if your bills are paid and you have extra sitting in the bank, you’re aren’t rich.  You may be in great shape, or living better than the next guy. However, this isn’t the time to overspend anticipating the next check or the money coming in!  Spending money before it is received; even if the spending is mental (you know how you think about what you’re going to do with money before receiving it) or making verbal commitments is a guaranteed way to get deeper in debt and sink into poverty!!!!

Breaking financial curses requires changing EVERYTHING we’ve thought about money.  We know the phrase, “doing the same thing expecting different results is insanity”; and yet financially, we continue to spend or use our funds in the same manner and secretly hoping for something different!

Money is a subject that must be studied, reviewed, tested, and then studied again!  For every level one ascends, there are more lessons! Employing the same method to handle thousands of dollars as you did hundreds, will ensure that you go back to only having hundreds rather than thousands! Equally so a person’s time becomes more valuable as well.

TIME AND MONEY, Use them wisely so that you get the most from both!
